I’m All About “Whatever Floats Your Boat”, But Let’s Not Paint It As Education

Note: These are not the lesbians that got married... these are Hollywood lesbians... real lesbians are usually much heftier and less femanine.

First-graders in San Francisco took a field trip to City Hall to celebrate the marriage of their lesbian teacher on Friday, but opponents of same-sex marriage in the state say the field trip was an attempt to “indoctrinate” the students, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

The field trip was suggested by a parent at the Creative Arts Charter School, and the school said the trip, where students tossed rose petals on their teacher and her wife as they left City Hall, was academically relevant.

"It really is what we call a teachable moment," said Liz Jaroslow, the school’s interim director, according to the newspaper. She said same-sex marriage had historic significance. "I think I'm well within the parameters."

Yeah, I’ve never heard of straight teachers taking their entire classes to their weddings. Oh, and I’m guessing that a bunch of first graders aren’t going to grasp the subtle nuances of the relevance of the historical importance of two women vowing to nibble each other’s labia exclusively for the rest of eternity.

Bottom line: I’m throwing the bullshit flag on this one. All that this trumped up press conference was is a bogus, leftist ploy being played out irresponsibly by a couple of adults utilizing children to realize their own selfish agenda.

Like I said, I have no problem with whomever you like to bump uglies, but leave the kids out of it and don’t try to paint it as a learning experience when it’s really simple exploitation of children combined with a cheap attempt to save a vacation day.
