Good Morning England... This Is Your Wake Up Call
Now, what kind of bull[IVAW] was Adam Kokesh spewing during his rants against IslamoFacism Awareness Week? Wasn't he implying that everything this report said was false? From what that Islamic Law specialist said, apparently if you don’t heed their warnings you get killed… because it’s Islamic law… and Sharia trumps sovereignty. Looks like fascism to me.
Sharia law is not English law. Sharia law is not US law. And Islam is not just a religion, it’s a civic system. It’s a dangerous theocratic system as well as a cult-religion and it does not tolerate other religions as “equals”. If communism had had the religious fervor of Islam, we would all be speaking Russian right now.

The Editor of "The Independent", who bowed to censorship by intimidation is now concered that censorship by intimidation is spreading?
You helped plant that weed, hero.
Um Sniper, not to split hairs, but it's entirely possible you are speaking Russian right now...as I type this.
Just saying is all...
;)
Sniper, please expand on what you've written. I don't know much of Sharia law and am interested in learning more.
My understanding of moderate Islamic teachings is that Christians and Jews are to be welcomed because they are "People of the Book."
Stella, try to set up ambushes in a less obvious spot, you know, by not having that you follow Democracy Now and Mother Jones as those you follow.
We also were told about People of the Book right before we went into Afghanistan and they started trying to blow us up.
This has nothing to do with Moderate Islamic Teachings and everything to do with those attempting to impose Sharia Law in Britain and the US. I am unaware of any "moderates" who are urging such a move.
I am simply asking a question to clarify my understanding, and there is no need to be rude or condescending because I am a liberal. You are extremely mistaken if you think I am trying to ambush anyone.
I get my news from CSPAN, which is where I always watch the debates. I also read The Nation, (est. 1866, the oldest periodical in America). And if I read Mother Jones or listen to Air America, so what? You may also see me perusing extremely conservative periodicals such as The National Review or the Weekly Standard to expand my understanding of the American perspective.
Anyone who serves their country in Iraq and/or Afghanistan is going to have more information than me. I am well aware of that fact as I ask about Sharia law. There are various sects of Islam: I simply stated clarification.
Since you inform me Sharia law has nothing to do with moderate Islamic Teachings, I have discovered something and for that, at least, I am in your debt. You have informed me the belief in "People of the Book" may be honored by some, but not other, sects. For that, I thank you.
I have had three relatives in the military, two of whom served in Iraq. I don't understand combat, but neither mistake me for a liberal who does not admire the sacrifices of our troops nor judge me by the media I select, which straddles both conservative and liberal issues.
